I am a wife, mom, certified teacher with experience teaching 1st grade through college, a homeschool veteran, a writer, and a front-porch dreamer (that’s where you can find me if Ohio weather permits).

I am also certified as an Emotional Health Life Consultant through The Compassion Method.

I work with all people who are tired of their pain and have a hope to move past survival and into abundance.

No story is too scary or outside the transforming reach of compassion. I mean that.

I began this journey of reconnecting with my true self because I was desperate for transformation. I was frustrated about the way I was showing up as a mom, a wife, a sister, a friend, an educator, and a homeschool parent.

I am a grown adult, but you might not know that if you have witnessed me when I have been sad, scared, or lonely. Instead, you might have ended up on the receiving end of irrational reactions to pain that was deep inside me.

I lived most of my life in a triggered state. And, honestly, it was embarrassing.

I am Christ-follower, and I understand redemption, but the disconnect between what I know to be true and how I was acting felt like a great chasm.

For years, I tried to fix my large, scary reactions and behaviors. If you’ve ever tried it, you know it’s exhausting. What I learned was that I didn’t need fixed. I needed compassion.

And it all started with my curiosity toward my triggers. I stopped ignoring my pain and ended up finding glimmers of my true self…glimmers of hope instead of despair.
